The title track and songs such asPanic In Detroit,Lady Grinning SoulandTimemarked a significant musical progression from its predecessor, adding brass, woodwind, soulful backing vocals and the distinctive piano playing of Mike Garson.On14th April, 2023,one week before its Golden JubileeALADDINSANEwill be issued as alimited edition 50th anniversaryhalfspeedmastered LP pressed from the samemaster.This new pressing ofALADDIN SANEwas cut on a customised late Neumann VMS80 lathe with fully recapped electronicsfrom 192kHz restoredmasters of the originalmastertapes, with no additional processing on transfer. Thehalfspeedwas cut by John Webber at AIRStudios.The coverofALADDINSANEhas become one of the moststriking andmemorableimages in rock n roll historyand was rumoured to be the most expensiveproducedup to that point.
